The third objet was the resurrection stone, fixed on Marvolo Gaunt's ring.

THE CLUES

​

The resurrection stone is one of the three Deathly Hallows which are: the elder wand, the invisibility cloak and the resurrection stone. The origin of those 3 objects is told in the Tale of the Three Brothers,  one of the Tales of Beedle The Bard. In this story, we learn that three brothers managed (= réussir) to escape Death, so, as a reward (= récompense), Death decided to grant (= exaucer) one of their wishes. One of the brothers, Cadmus Peverell, asked for an object with the power to bring back the dead, because he wanted to bring back the girl he loved. Death gave him the resurrection stone and Cadmus managed to bring back his girlfriend, but he soon realized that she was only a shadow (= une ombre) of her former self and that she was suffering a lot from being back from the dead. As a consequence, he killed himself to join her among the dead.

The stone was passed from generation to generation until it was passed to MARVOLO Gaunt, Voldermort's grandfather, and finally to Tom Riddle (Voldemort) who then turned it into an horcrux. Dumbledore destroyed the horcrux (which damaged his FINGER and shortened his life)  but he put the stone in a golden SNITCH so that Harry Potter could use it against Voldemort. In the symbol of the Deathly Hallows, the stone is represented by a CIRCLE.

THE PLACE (= le lieu)

To find the place, you had to solve an enigma:

​

When I was alive, I lived in the forest.

Now I am dead, but I still tell great stories!

Come and have a look! You can't miss me,

Smaller than I used to be, I'm still the tallest of all!

And the answer was a BOOK. You had to find the tallest book at the library, a copy of the Tales of Beedle the Bard, which contained the ring and the resurrection stone.

Le troisième objet à trouver était la pierre de résurrection, fixée à l'anneau de Marvolo Gaunt.

LES INDICES 

​

La pierre de résurrection est l'une des trois Reliques de la Mort qui sont: la baguette de sureau, la cape d'invisibilité, et la pierre de résurrection. L'origine de ces 3 objets est racontée dans le Conte des Trois Frères, l'un des Contes de Beedle le Barde. Dans cette histoire, on apprend que les trois frères ont réussi à déjouer les plans de la Mort qui, en guise de récompense, leur a proposé d'exhausser un de leur souhaits. L'un des frères, Cadmus Peverell, a demandé un objet qui aurait le pouvoir de ressusciter les morts, car il voulait redonner vie à la fille qu'il aimait. La mort lui a donné la pierre de résurrection et Cadmus a pu faire revenir sa petite-amie, mais il s'est vite rendu compte qu'elle n'était plus que l'ombre d'elle-même et qu'elle souffrait beaucoup d'être de retour parmi les vivants. Il a donc fini par se suicider pour la rejoindre.

La pierre a été passée de génération en génération jusqu'à MARVOLO Gaunt, le grand-père de Voldemort, et finalement à Tom Riddle (Voldemort) qui en a ensuite fait un horcruxe Dumbledore a détruit le horcruxe (ce qui a causé des séquelles à son DOIGT et a réduit son espérance de vie) mais il a mis la pierre de résurrection dans le VIF d'or pour que Harry Potter puisse ensuite l'utiliser contre Voldemort. Dans le symbole des Reliques de la Mort, la pierre est représentée par un CERCLE.

Et la réponse était un LIVRE. Vous avez dû trouver le plus grand livre du CDI, un exemplaire des Contes de Beedle le Barde, qui contenait l'anneau et la pierre de résurrection.
